I’m thrilled you’re considering a commission. Each piece I create is a personal collaboration, designed to capture the unique character, emotions, and memories that make your subject special. Whether it’s a beloved pet, a treasured home, or a favourite building, I’ll work with you to create a portrait that you’ll cherish for years to come

The Process

Commissioning is a personal process, and I will discuss your individual requirements with you before beginning any work. I accept only a limited number of commissions each year, so the prices below are provided as an estimated guide

To secure your booking, a 30% deposit is required (please note: this is non-refundable once work on the drawing has begun). The remaining balance is only payable once you are 100% happy with the finished piece

Materials and Quality

All artworks are created in coloured pencil and / or graphite, using only the highest quality, professional-grade materials. This ensures your commission will retain its richness and depth for generations to come

All of my portraits are created on a plain white background, as I believe colour or detail behind the subject can distract from its true character. The simplicity of white allows the subject to shine, keeping the focus entirely on the details, textures, and expressions that make it unique

The pencils I use are guaranteed lightfast, so the colours will not fade, and the papers are made from natural cotton — untreated, acid-free, and anti-yellowing

Prices

Image Size 5" x 7" : Mount size 6" x 8" : Graphite £150 : Colour £250

Image Size 8" x 12" : Mount size 12" x 16" : Graphite £300 : Colour £400

Image Size 12" x 16" : Mount size 16" x 20" : Graphite £400 : Colour £500

For each additional subject add 25%. The finished original drawing is presented cello-wrapped in a white acid-free mount, ready to frame

Reference Photos

Animals

To help me capture fur texture and colour as accurately as possible, I’ll need at least one good-quality photo to work from. If you already have a favourite, that’s perfect. If you’re unsure whether your photo will work, just send it over and I’ll be happy to check for you

If you’d like multiple subjects included, don’t worry about getting them all together in one picture — individual photos are absolutely fine, and I can bring them together in the final artwork

Architecture

Whether it’s a large-scale project or a personal commission, I love capturing the places that mean the most to you. It might be the warmth of a family home, the character of a favourite building, or the beauty of a venue filled with memories. Again working from good quality reference photos which we can choose together

Please note that due to current GDPR guidelines, I am not shipping to the EU at this time

International delivery outside of the EU is available by arrangement — please get in touch to discuss options and costs
